Lin Wei woke from a nap to find herself inside a modern romance novel she had read, as Su Wan, the “dark moonlight” female antagonist who despised the poor, cruelly humiliated the male lead, Gu Chen, shortly before graduation, and met a miserable end.
The System issued a cold command: She had to maintain her vicious-antagonist persona and follow the original plot. She must date the “poor” male lead, humiliate him at graduation by saying, “A poor guy like you isn’t good enough for me,” then take the money and leave.
Looking at Gu Chen, so handsome and aloof that even his washed-out shirt couldn’t hide his air of nobility, Lin Wei wailed inwardly: With that face and that body, wouldn’t it be better to be his one true love? Why ruin everything?
System: Warning! The plot must not be altered!
What made her even more distraught was that she accidentally discovered Gu Chen wasn’t poor at all. He was the true heir to a powerful family in the capital, with wealth beyond measure! He was only pretending to live an ordinary life?!
With graduation drawing near, she made a bold decision: If she couldn’t defy the plot, she’d at least leave herself a keepsake before breaking up. She’d run away with his child!
Years later, Gu Chen had become a ruthless business magnate, but the moment she appeared, his composure crumbled. When he saw Lin Wei with her childhood friend Lu Mingxuan and a child who looked just like him, his eyes instantly reddened. He grabbed Lu Mingxuan and demanded hoarsely, “Didn’t you always look down on her? What’s this supposed to mean now?!”
This is a very, very novel book that I saw in Red Persimmon. It amazed me. This kind of contradictory, complex, and green writing made the emotions and conflicts between them very real and very attractive to me. I look forward to the update 🥰 🥰 💕
Because I watched it in a skip, but I think it's pretty good and I highly recommend it.
