Brushwork in the Star Wastes: I Paint All Things Live Across the Stars

On the hundred-day countdown to the college entrance exams, I was hit by a car and sent flying. When I opened my eyes again, I was an unregistered resident on a garbage planet in the interstellar age.

A glowing brush babbled frantically in my head: “Binding error! The savior never showed up. We got a test-taker instead!”

“Want to survive? Start livestreaming your paintings! And find the marshal, prince, or noble big shot who’s going to destroy the world!”

I looked down and realized this brush was the interstellar version of Ma Liang’s magic paintbrush! I painted an apple, and it instantly became a mental-energy supplement. The marshal ate it and slept soundly through the night. I painted a sunroom, and endangered plants sprouted like crazy. The prince spent a fortune just to get one seedling. I painted a pet bed, and a ferocious beast turned into an adorable pet. The tech-crazed noble couldn’t believe it and took the brush apart to study it!

And so, I became an interstellar sensation through livestreaming.

But my number-one fan was the cold-faced marshal, who messaged me every day to ask what I’d paint that night to help him sleep. My number-two fan was the smiling-but-scheming prince, always trying to pry the source of my abilities out of me. My number-three fan was a noble big shot who threatened to buy my brush and put it in a lab for analysis!

As for me, I counted my money and tended my crops while matching faces to the System’s list of “suspects”: Help! Which of these three big shots is the one who’ll destroy the world in the future?!

Now all three of them have sent me offers to work together… and proposals of marriage.

The System is still screaming in my head: “Pick one and get close to him! …Wait, our energy scan shows all of them might have a problem?!”

Me: …Is it too late to go back and take the college entrance exams?
