“I've written so many songs, but I can't put the rhythm of my heartbeat when I met you into words.”
“If this is a dream, I hope I never wake up.”
When the talented singer-songwriter Su Ran meets the quirky, all-around idol Xia Shu, a music competition show brings them together as if it were fate.
Onstage, she's a dazzling star adored by everyone; offstage, she's a devoted fan who secretly collects every one of her songs. Rehearsing together again and again, sharing one perfectly in-sync moment after another, they slowly grow closer between the notes.
The whole internet is shipping them, their glances crackle with unspoken feelings on camera, and fans keep spotting all the sweet little details. Is it all part of the show, or are they falling for each other for real?
When their final duet ends, will they dare to admit their feelings in front of everyone?
This book is a breath of fresh air in Tomato. There is no so-called label to define it. The narrative style is like a light novel, which makes people fascinated between the words. There is a connection between Shuran's love and their careers. However, they never let go of each other's hands and firmly choose to stay with each other. Rain or shine, even thunder and lightning, and the malicious slander they suffered could not stop them from falling in love or pursuing their dreams. This is a struggle of love and hope. I am glad to witness their victory. It feels more like a documentary than a novel. Shuran's relationship goes from knowing and cherishing each other at the beginning, to firmly supporting each other in the face of blows, and then facing reality together. The too sincere love touches people's hearts and warms the readers' hearts like a breeze.
It's very interesting, and a little bit sadistic, but it's such a pity that only so many people can watch it.
