The Imperial Seal Mystery and the Red Pill Case

The former dynasty's imperial seal is mysteriously stolen overnight from the heavily guarded royal treasury. At the same time, a series of unsolved murders targeting court officials rocks the capital, with a love poem left beside every body.

The cold and keen Rong Qingxue, the top female constable of the Six Gates, is ordered to investigate, but crosses paths with the dashing Hanlin Academy editor Xiao Mohan. Working in the open and in the shadows, they follow their own leads. From the treacherous halls of court to the perilous martial world, they discover that both the imperial seal theft and the murders point to a bloody palace injustice buried twenty years ago: the Red Pill Case.

Blood seals hide in the poems, and peacock feathers lock away the inner palace. When trust meets betrayal and deep affection is set against conspiracy, they must pierce the fog amid one deadly danger after another. In the struggle between imperial power and the martial world, they must clear the names of the dead and speak up for the living.
