Lingyin Rebuilds the Land

A physician who devoted his life to healing was asked by a thousand-year-old flood dragon to treat its abdominal illness.

As he reached for his sword, memories of his bloodline awakened. Only then did he learn that the execution sword in his hand had once pierced the dragon's lover.

“Compassionate healer?” The wicked dragon's wild laughter shattered the cliff face. “When your ancestor used this sword to flay her scales, did he show any compassion?”

As he turned the blade and plunged it into his own chest, he saw the brand of the execution wound burning in Aoyuan's belly, where it had smoldered for a thousand years.

“Let my blood... break the curse for you...”

Later, a blood tumor sprouted on the ceiling of the Netherworld Cave. Every night, coughing and the sound of a copper bell could be heard from within.

The woodcutters said, “That's the Dragon-Slaying Sword checking the physician's pulse.”
