Cheng Lingxue, a zombie queen from the apocalypse with max-level abilities in four elements: lightning, psychic power, strength, and wood, transmigrates one day to the first year of Zhenguan in the Tang Dynasty, where her soul returns to its rightful place. It turns out that her self from the apocalypse was also her self in the Tang Dynasty, and she had simply lost a fragment of her soul. The moment she wakes, her maid Xiaocao rushes in. “Miss, something terrible has happened! 200,000 Turkic wolf cavalry, led by Jieli Khan, are camped by the Wei River, right outside Chang’an!”
Cheng Lingxue is furious. Ignoring Xiaocao’s pleas, she grabs a huge iron club and charges straight out to the Turkic camp. Her club comes down as her lightning powers unleash a storm of blasts, making the Turks wail and flee in panic. Led by Jieli Khan, the Turkic soldiers retreat in disarray to the grasslands.
She returns to the palace with everyone else. Cheng Yaojin jumps for joy. “Look at that! She’s my daughter’s direct disciple, her direct disciple!” Li Shimin is overjoyed, trembling with excitement. “Heaven truly favors the Tang!” He immediately appoints Cheng Lingxue Grand General Who Guards the Nation.
Just as she is about to accept the title, a mysterious voice suddenly rings out in her mind: “Congratulations, Host. You have successfully bound the Myriad Worlds Grand Marshal System.” The System tasks her with helping the people of the Myriad Worlds put an end to war. It promises her an endless supply of food, clothing, daily necessities, cultivation techniques, martial skills, and pills, as long as she helps the people of the Myriad Worlds eat their fill, stay warm, and live better lives.
In the end, she tells Emperor Li Shimin that if he is going to grant her a title, he should make her Grand Marshal of the Myriad Worlds. The emperor grants her the title, and she begins her legendary journey of conquering the heavens from the Tang Dynasty.
I found the writing to be pretty good, very good, with clear ideas and good writing, especially for people like Cheng Yaojin. His father, Cheng Yaojin, likes to brag. This is funny and makes people laugh. I find it very good.
