Dragon Raja: Memories Etched in Scars

The lonely Lu Mingfei meets another “monster” at Cassell College: Lin Shi.

A descendant of the ancient “stone engravers,” Lin Shi bears the cruel Word Spirit known as the “Pact of Engraved Marks.” He pays with memories to gain the power to turn the tide of battle. Each time he fulfills a pact, he permanently loses a precious piece of his past: the faces of loved ones, moments from his childhood, even fragments of his very self.

He is Lu Mingfei's mirror image. One burns through the future, the other buries the past. From the Bronze City beneath the Three Gorges to a Beijing subway station, from a rainy night in Tokyo to Odin's Misty City, Lin Shi silently records every one of Lu Mingfei's triumphs and sorrows, using his pen as a gravestone. When Lu Mingfei is about to bargain with the devil, Lin Shi repeatedly carves out a glimmer of hope for him at the cost of his own memories. When the world forgets Chu Zihang, Lin Shi's notes become the last proof that he ever existed.

This is a story of twins saving each other in the abyss of loneliness. “If forgetting is the price of saving you, then I'll remember everything about you.”

This story takes place in a parallel world.
