After the School Bully Put Him on the Trending List, the Genius Teacher Stayed Up All Night Writing Questions

On my first day as a teacher at nineteen, the school bully, wild and unruly, cornered me in the hallway.

He tugged arrogantly at my tie. “Call me big brother and I’ll let you go, little teacher.”

I grabbed his phone and snapped a picture of us. “What do you think of this trending headline: ‘School Bully Harasses New Teacher’?”

The next day, the whole school waited to see him get revenge on me.

Instead, the bully came rushing into the office, eyes red. “That topology problem... how on earth did you solve it?”

“Finish this workbook,” I said, pushing up my glasses, “and I’ll tell you the answer.”
