In this reinforced concrete city, people's imagination is drying up, and ancient myths and legends are fading and dying. The entire world is being slowly eroded by an entropy phenomenon called "spiritual gray fog."
Illustrator Gu Ci, a frustrated young man who adheres to traditional aesthetics but has been abandoned by the times, was accidentally bound to the [Myth Weaving System] on the day he was "optimized".
The system does not have world-destroying skills nor inexhaustible wealth. Its only requirement is that Gu Ci use his brush, creativity and soul to recreate those forgotten myths and inject new life into them.
When he painted the single foot of "Bifang", there was a flash of fire over the city; when he described the lamentation of "Jingwei", there were rocks rising from the shore of the East China Sea; when he recreated the wonderland of "The Classic of Mountains and Seas", a corner of the city turned into a grotesque fantasy wonderland.
What he writes is no longer cold data and pixels, but living legends with power.
His peers see him as a subversive, capital sees him as a cash cow, while those dream eaters lurking in the "mental fog" see him as a thorn in their side.
Gu Ci held the brush in one hand and the hot heart of myth in the other, declaring to this increasingly cold world:
"Everything you have forgotten will be awakened by me. Everything you have discarded will be remade into immortality by me!"
This is a story about rekindling the fire of civilization in a cold city.
