Stars Fall on a Winter Night, and the Crabapples Will Bloom Again

“On that snowy night, Heaven bestowed a begonia upon me. I swore to protect her radiance for the rest of my life.”

“On that snowy night, Heaven bestowed a star upon me. I prayed that one day I might possess all of him.”

“I cannot sever the bonds woven by fate;

I cannot bear to face a tomorrow without you.

Rather than dread this forbidden love,

I fear more the burning hope in your eyes.

When all that remains of you is memory,

that longing, that greed,

become blades,

cutting through my false defenses, one stroke at a time.

My soul has long been crying out from the abyss:

I long to hold you in my arms,

until time itself comes to an end.”

“I cannot resist the warmth you give me;

I cannot stop this sick obsession with you.

Rather than bear the chains of so-called morality,

I fear more that you will vanish from my world forever.

When you flicker in and out of sight among the crowd,

that loneliness, that resentment,

become a wildfire,

burning through my desolate heart, little by little.

My heart has long since fallen into endless yearning:

I long for that starlight

to shine forever in this garden.”
