A golden lightning bolt tore across the sky, carrying college student Lin Ye's soul to a cultivation world where martial strength reigned supreme. He possessed the body of a bullied, deceased servant disciple of the Qingyun Sect.
Reborn into immediate danger, Lin Ye faced his predecessor's enemy, outer disciple Wang Mang, who came to kill him again. At the end of his rope, Lin Ye unexpectedly awakened the Primordial Sword Mark on his chest. He could wield his finger as a sword and defeat a powerful foe against all odds, revealing his talent for the first time! But defeating Wang Mang attracted the attention of the inner sect forces behind him, and the threat of death grew even greater.
To protect himself, Lin Ye followed the Sword Mark's guidance into the sect's hidden grounds: the Swordheart Spring. Cultivating in the spring not only multiplied his comprehension of the sword, but also brought him face-to-face with Leng Ning, a cool and otherworldly senior sister from the inner sect. A single test shattered the Sword Testing Stone, revealing a peerless talent for the sword unseen since time immemorial!
But every blessing hides a danger. If this astonishing talent were exposed, it could doom him forever. The sect's undercurrents ran deep, and some sought to snuff out a genius before he could rise. Warned by Leng Ning, Lin Ye had no choice but to conceal his brilliance, navigating between the ordinary life of the servant quarters and the secret of the Swordheart Spring.
On one side lay deadly sect rivalries, on the other the supreme swordsmanship guided by the mysterious Sword Mark. The road from humble servant to Sword Sovereign had begun. Could Lin Ye keep his secret and, with the Primordial Sword Mark, cut through every obstacle and attain the Dao in this world where the strong ruled?
This is the thrilling legend of an ordinary young man who wields a primordial inheritance, rises from obscurity, and shakes the world with a single sword!
