[Tang Duo] Lost in the Black Mist

The Fogwood on the outskirts of Yulin City holds a secret that devours memories. Those who go missing wake beside an ancient stone tablet 72 hours later, having forgotten everything except for a black, mist-covered leaf marked with strange symbols.

Mo Duoduo, an 18-year-old member of a detective agency, joins the task force thanks to his keen intuition for symbols, only to cross paths with Tang Xiaoyi, the “former guide” who arrives out of nowhere. One is hot-blooded and impulsive, obsessed with ancient texts and legends; the other is sharp-tongued and proud, skilled at finding clues in the cracks of the human heart. From trading barbs as rival partners to sharing a coat during late-night investigations and instinctively protecting each other in danger, they gradually grow closer as they unravel cases shrouded in mist.

Ancient incantations from the Mistkeeper tribe, mysterious prophecies in murals on an altar, a series of labyrinthine cases imitating “judgments”... As hallucinogenic fog rises and the flames of truth and the past intertwine, they must uncover the obsession and redemption hidden behind the symbols before they are swallowed up.

And Charlie IX, the “mature” little dog wearing a talking bow tie, has to sniff out clues and occasionally mediate the squabbles of two childish boys. After all, no matter how thick the fog, it can't stop the boys from walking side by side toward the light.
