A bizarre murder
Uncovering the source of all the chaos
A deep investigation
In a steampunk apocalypse where order has collapsed and the starry sky hangs dark, the amnesiac Contract God Qilis awakens from his sealed slumber. Less than a tenth of his power remains, and his divinity is as cold as iron. He faces a world whose destruction was delayed by the self-sacrifice of its "Mother," yet continues to slide toward its end. Evil god cults run rampant through fog-shrouded streets, conspiracies to rewrite history whisper in the shadows, and behind ancient pacts lurk cruel loopholes capable of overturning reality.
Ermil, a young follower who bears the power of a god yet suffers the anguish of unrequited love, is Qianweil's most fragile link to this world. He longs for the god's approval, but can only repeatedly confirm his value as a tool, an "important variable," in the other's cold, reason-first calculations. Their relationship is pulled taut throughout their desperate journey: from a god and his creation to a dangerous guide and the one being guided. Amid the flames of trust and sacrifice, they forge a complex bond that transcends both mortal and divine nature.
As Qianweil begins, in his own unique and almost clumsy way, to try to understand emotions, and Ermil is forced to accept a rust-corroded power of chaos while struggling against the erosion of his humanity, they must join forces with companions who possess extraordinary abilities: the tenacious warrior of Ashlight Plunder, the erudite scholar who keeps silent and knows secrets, the sensitive girl who sings echoes, and the nameless mist
The beginning of the story is very attractive to me. A god who has lost his past, his favored one (I think) and three different characters will not be introduced in detail here. I have only read three chapters so far. I think it is a group adventure or a detective story (I may be wrong). Finally, I can talk about the author's literary talent. Come on, author.
Is there actually two male protagonists? The protagonist seems to be a god. It is most likely a group portrait. I feel that if it is well written, it will be a very good book.
