Raven Crow, a "nightmare herder" who wanders on the edge of human subconsciousness. His way of survival is to sneak into other people's dreams, skillfully herd and harvest the fear that breeds, and transform it into the weak energy that sustains his own existence. He is cold and distant, viewing human dreams as ownerless pasture, until he steps into the dream of a boy named Liam.
