After My Family Abandoned Me, I Built a City

In my tenth year of the apocalypse, I transmigrate into the body of a peasant girl in ancient times.

The System blares a warning: “Torrential rain in three days. Flooding is imminent!”

I sneer, put my apocalypse stockpiling skills to use, and frantically reinforce the earthen house and dig drainage channels.

The villagers mock me: “That crazy girl is daydreaming again!”

On the night the floodwaters surge, only my courtyard stands firm.

The family who once abandoned me pounds on the door, crying for help.

I gently stroke the hunting rifle on the wall and answer sweetly: “Want to come in? One head buys one spot.”
