Chen Shi transmigrates into a courtyard compound, bringing along a Comparison System.
He happens to witness Qin Huairu and Shen Youchu on a blind date. Jia Dongxu chooses the charming Qin Huairu, while Chen Shi turns around and picks the scrawny Shen Youchu.
Jia Dongxu works himself to the bone supporting his whole family, growing skin and bones from hunger. Chen Shi, meanwhile, sleeps in every day and has his meals brought to him, living so comfortably that everyone envies him!
Thanks to the rewards he wins through the System, Chen Shi lands a job as a stoker at the Ministry of Railways, where people mock him for shoveling coal.
But hey, he just lies flat and keeps rising: assistant driver, driver, depot chief... He coasts his way all the way up to the ministry!
