Bodhidharma Zen is the foundational Zen method of Chinese Zen. It was introduced by Bodhidharma, the first ancestor. The core is "Wall Viewing Zen" and "Two Entrances and Four Elements".
"Two Entrances" include "Li Entry" (understanding the principle of "Everything is the same as the Holy One" and establishing the concept of equality) and "Xing Rui" (practicing the Four Elements); "Four Elements" refers to repaying grievances, following fate, seeking nothing, practicing the Dharma, and correcting thoughts and behaviors.
It observes the mind like a wall and eliminates confusion, directly realizes the pure nature, emphasizes substance over form, and lays the foundation for Zen to "clear the mind and see the nature".
