In the autumn of 1992, in the cold rain of the Red Pine Ridge in Northeast China, ranger Chen Shoulin disappeared while patrolling the mountains, leaving only half of his blood-stained armband. The 18-year-old son Chen Dongsheng did not believe the rumors of "colliding with the immortal family" and went into the mountains alone to look for his father. However, deep in the old forest, he ran into Huang Xian asking for a seal. He said "like a chicken thief" and accidentally offended Master Huang San. The family suffered successive disasters: his mother fell ill, the granary was stolen, and the woodshed caught fire.
