For the Branch

The day I was diagnosed with cancer, a bizarre ad popped up on my phone.

[End-of-Life Wish Fulfillment. Scan to order, lightning-fast service!]

My hand slipped and I tapped it. The interface looked like a shoddy knockoff mobile game.

"Name?" "Lin Wan."

"Cause of death?" "Pancreatic cancer."

"Last wish?"

I thought it over.

"After I take my last breath, notify my ex-boyfriend Xu Jiaonian and have him take me to the funeral home. Also, take my cat to an animal shelter."

"Generating order... Special notice: If Party B's uncontrollable crying condition occurs, the order will automatically be upgraded to a 'reconciliation package.'"

I stared at the screen and sneered. "Are AI scams really this sophisticated now?"

Then I heard the delivery person shout from outside the door:

"Ms. Lin! Your end-of-life wish fulfillment agent is here! Please sign for your delivery!"
