Eerie Revival: I Tamed the Witty Ghost from the Start

[Eerie Revival] + [Intelligent Ghosts] + [Fast-paced] + [Rational protagonist] + [Urban]

This is a world overrun by fierce ghosts. They hunt people according to rules, and those rules also protect them in ways no one can see.

“Ghosts cannot be killed. Only ghosts can fight ghosts. You can survive only by understanding their rules.” These are the three laws of survival that humanity discovered while searching for a way out of desperation.

Ghosts feed on people, while people must borrow the power of ghosts to stay alive. For ordinary people, the only way to fight fierce ghosts is to control one within themselves and coexist with it.

The fifteenth day of the seventh lunar month, the Ghost Festival. The gates of hell swing wide, a hundred ghosts roam the night, the order of the human world collapses, and cities become infernos.

At death's door, I unexpectedly take control of an intelligent ghost. Its power fills me with joy, enough to let me survive in this apocalypse. But its all-knowing nature leaves me terrified. I can clearly sense it lying dormant, waiting for the day it replaces me and devours my soul.

(This isn't fan fiction. It borrows the setting: ghosts governed by rules cannot be killed.)
