On the day of Zhouzhou’s third birthday, her mother dies. Her eldest aunt calls her a jinx and says she must work day and night to earn her mother’s forgiveness.
She doesn’t dare sleep. Whenever her eyelids begin to droop, she viciously slaps her own little face and tells herself she has to atone for her sins.
Just when she can barely hold on, she seems to see her mother coming to take her away. Smiling, she reaches out her hand, thin as a twig: “Auntie didn’t lie to me. Mommy forgives Zhouzhou now.”
Sheng Jin Shu happens to pass by and scoops up the little girl, who has only a breath of life left.
From then on, the Sheng family spoils her rotten.
The young master of the Sheng family: “I picked up this daughter in a pink sack. Pretty cute, isn’t she?”
The old master of the Sheng family: “Nonsense! What do you mean, picked her up? She’s my own granddaughter. Whatever the baby wants, Grandpa will buy it.”
Her arrival brings the comatose Madam Sheng back to life, full of energy, and even her cousin, who was confined to a wheelchair, recovers.
She also learns all sorts of things by talking to animals, and helps the Sheng family avert crisis after crisis.
The old master of the Sheng family: “No wonder she’s my granddaughter. She’s just like me.”
The old madam of the Sheng family: “You know, this child really does look like our cold-blooded eldest son.”
Her five uncles and two aunts nod in agreement. They’ve noticed it too: she looks especially like their eldest brother.
A DNA test finally reveals that she is truly one of the Shengs.
The eldest son of the Sheng family scoops up the chubby little girl and gives her a big kiss. “Zhouzhou, I’m your real daddy.”
Her young uncle angrily snatches her from his hands. “I’m her real dad!”
Zhouzhou exclaims, “Ba-ba! They’re all daddies~~ I want them all~~ Don’t... don’t fight!”
