A historic cold wave hit, and the temperature plummeted below -25°C. The city was cut off from water and power, and order collapsed. Survival became the only issue.
Lin Ye, a freelance illustrator who is so calm that he is almost cold-blooded, became a survivor in the early stages of the disaster because of his advance stocking up of goods and the unexpectedly obtained constant-temperature space. She refused meaningless sympathy, but when she encountered predators in the corridor, she unexpectedly met veteran Lu Cheng - this taciturn and martial man became her only companion in a desperate situation.
From a precarious residential building, to an underground supermarket for temporary refuge, to a library fortified as a fortress, they work together to fight against thugs robbing supplies, repair frozen pipes, and search for scarce gasoline. During repeated encounters on the edge of life and death, trust and affection gradually emerge under the indifferent shell. On the way, retired librarian Lao Chen and auto mechanic Zhao Lei joined one after another, and a small "survival team" began to take shape, but they also accidentally got a map pointing to the "city center safety zone".
The constant-temperature space is Lin Ye's trump card, Lu Cheng's iron rod is everyone's line of defense, and the good and evil of human nature, as well as unknown dangers (the truth about the safe zone, more extreme weather), are still waiting ahead. This is a game about survival, and it is also a story about two lonely souls protecting each other and looking for spring in a frozen world.
