The historian Zhu Chen was unexpectedly reborn in Shanghai on the eve of the Songhu Battle in 1937. He struggled to survive as an orphan and became a triple spy between the military command, the underground party of the Communist Party of China, Ttech and No. 76. He dealt with the secret war between various forces, intertwined with comrades who depended on life and death, ambiguous enemy spies, and tests of betrayal and loyalty. In the end, he helped to win the war of resistance, but at the cost of sacrifice and anonymity, he fulfilled the faith of the unknown hero.
