A Song Dynasty Poetry Metaverse Epic: The Alliance of Guardians

Volume One: A Stirring at the Edge of the Duckweed

A stirring begins at the edge of the duckweed, and the first sparks of a digital war ignite. In the future, the Complete Song Lyrics, a treasure of Chinese civilization, shines brilliantly in the Metaverse. Without warning, a strange torrent of violent data attacks the System, and engineer Lu Wuguan becomes the first to detect the anomaly and sound the alarm.

Cybersecurity expert Song Rui traces the data back to its source, following clues deep into the mountains to Longmen Temple. The temple's committee director, Zhu Xizhen, a mysterious recluse who goes by the username "Hermit of Qingdu's Mountains and Waters," seems to have known about the crisis all along.

Meanwhile, Li Gang, head of the Central Plains Provincial Society for Song Poetry Research, urgently contacts everyone involved. Descendants of renowned Song poets Zhang Yuanqian, Han Yuanji, Fan Chengda, and Zhang Xiaoxiang, along with master of Chinese classics Shi Daoru, respond at once. Li Gang reveals the truth in front of everyone: this is no ordinary malfunction, but a cultural invasion launched by the Western Spirit Kingdom. Its aim is to tamper with the code of Song poetry and distort the spiritual core of Chinese civilization! The Guardians Alliance, formed to protect civilization, quietly gathers.

One crisis follows another. In the Metaverse, the desolate world of The Tune of Picking Mulberries is maliciously activated, leaving "digital refugees" homeless. An "information plague" virus runs rampant, twisting the meaning of poems and sowing division. Within the Alliance, a group of capitulationists led by Director Zhang Taihuai and Deputy Director Qin Moxiang secretly collude with the enemy, obstructing the Alliance at every turn.

Beset by threats from within and without, the Guardians struggle to fight back with poetic meaning as their shield and code as their sword. From the unrestrained spirit of The Tune of Partridge Sky to the grief and anger of The Tune of Water Dragon Chant, the power of Song poetry reveals its edge on a digital battlefield for the first time. As this volume ends, gloom still hangs over the Metaverse, but the sparks of resistance have already spread like wildfire through the darkest hour. A battle to protect civilization is about to begin.
