When my brother’s enemy kidnapped me and took me to Southeast Asia, everyone said I wouldn’t last three days.
He took pleasure in tormenting people, especially in destroying things that were pure and innocent.
He gripped my chin and forced me to look at the “evidence” his men had brought in. In a few blurry photos, my brother seemed to be meeting secretly with his arch-enemy.
“See it clearly?” He clenched a cigar between his teeth, smoke stinging my eyes. “Your brother sold the security deployment plans for my core team. Three of my men are dead, and I’ve lost an important shipping route.”
Through tear-blurred eyes, I struggled. “Impossible! My brother would never!”
“Wouldn’t he?” He sneered, then yanked me to the floor-to-ceiling window and pointed at the city below, dazzling with lights yet riddled with danger. “Because of his ‘would never,’ how many people want me dead now, and want to follow the trail to kill him too?”
“Lin Wan,” he said, his voice dropping, cruel amusement in its tone. “Tell me, what should I do with you?”
After reading this, I felt heavy sourness and emotion in my heart. This is not a light and sweet pet, but the pull between two scarred souls. The so-called salvation is never a partial rescue, but two people seeing each other in the darkness. Those sadistic pulls are not to create bloodshed, but to express the complexity of human nature. Paranoid love can build a cage, or it can turn into the courage to break the situation. Even though the road ahead is full of thorns and hatred lies in the middle, the true feelings in their hearts have not been wiped out in the end, and they finally found their belonging to each other. I really like every article I write and every character I create. Looking forward to more new articles.
Every book by the author is good to read. The author should write more books. It's not enough.
I really like it and look forward to it being exciting.
