A butterfly’s wings beat, and a storm is about to rise. She will sink into pain and flames, even if the sea and sky are consumed, even if she herself is reduced to ashes. Perhaps the sword banner, standing proudly aloft, will wait for dawn and for Amphoreus’s fate alongside that brilliant blazing sun...?

And yet stories always rise and fall like the waves. A smooth-sailing “perfect ending” seems never to have existed. What will her burning resolve consume: the thorns blocking her path, or... a delusion born of overestimating herself?

This is a fan-made derivative work based on Honkai: Star Rail. It aims to use familiar “elements” to rebuild a brand-new story born from my own imagination. It’s a short story, but I’ll do my best to give everyone a complete tale.
