Reborn: The Lotus Steps of the Buddha

In her previous life, she was a prodigy of the Daoist sects. In this life, she is an orphan with a Buddhist fate. When Fairy Ling Wei perishes in a calamity at Fallen Star Cliff, a wisp of her remnant soul is reborn as Li Jing, a low-born orphan with mediocre talent who is bullied at a small Buddhist temple. With her path forward cut off and trapped in a desperate situation, she glimpses a chance for survival among the oil lamps and ancient scriptures: abandon the Dao and embrace Buddhism.

From then on, she carries a tattered scripture and keeps the Bodhi in her heart, cultivating step by step amid the mortal world. She resolves karma through Buddhist teachings and dispels demonic obstacles with wisdom. She severs ties with her past and sees her true nature; she saves all living beings, and the sound of Buddhist chants purifies the world.

This is a path no one has ever walked. Watch as she uses her mortal body and impure bones to cultivate an indestructible heart, forge her own supreme Buddhist path amid the apocalyptic tribulation of the Dharma-Ending Age, and ultimately become the founding patriarch of a Pure Land.
