Rules-based horror + haunted artifact mastery + end-of-the-world survival + a battle between two worlds. The Blood Gate World: Its setting is the same as in The Strange House. The sun mutates, giving birth to “Gray”; sunlight changes, ghosts run rampant, and a great cataclysm follows.
· Salvation plans and betrayal: The salvation plans of “monsters” such as Madman, Guan Yang, Shouyi, and Guanyin remain in place. But this story focuses on another plan: “Project Xingtian.”
· Project Xingtian: Proposed by “Madman,” the plan is primarily overseen by another fallen “monster,” the “Judge.” It aims to train a group of “Rule Enforcers” who can exploit the “Rules” to their utmost. They do not fight ghosts or corruption head-on. Instead, like experts exploiting software vulnerabilities, they navigate the bizarre rules, seek out flaws in the “Rules” themselves, and even rewrite local rules to achieve the purifying effect of “using a small force to move a mountain.” Lu Chuan is considered the most promising successor to Project Xingtian, and The Blood Law Notebook is the Judge’s legacy.
· The Strange House and the Fog World: The setting is the same as in The Strange House. The person in the Blood Gate World corresponding to Lu Chuan is Bai Wei, a senior official in the Ninth Bureau. She was once the Judge’s student, but now doubts the Ninth Bureau’s course. Secretly watching over and guiding Lu Chuan, she hopes he can complete Project Xingtian.
