The story takes place in a strange space parallel to the modern city - the "Terminal" hospital. This is no ordinary hospital, it is like a huge recycling bin, specially designed to "treat" people who have encountered accidents in the real world and are on the verge of death but have strong obsessions. They were dragged here not for treatment but to participate in a game of survival. The hospital's rules seem to be to maintain order, but in fact they are a cruel survival screening mechanism formulated by some higher being. Time flows abnormally here, as if it is stagnant and yet it seems to be passing rapidly.
