A Young Wife and a Security Guard: The Path to Exorcising Evil and Proving the Way

[Urban Fantasy + Supernatural Adventures + Light Comedy] After a bizarre and terrifying experience at the hospital, Cheng Xuyuan feared that if he kept working there, he’d eventually suffer a mental breakdown and be sent to a psychiatric hospital. So he resolutely quit his job as a hospital security guard. Later, persuaded by Wu Chuhua, the “Exorcist” who had overcome heartbreak, he embarked with her on the path to proving the Way. One of them knows only three basic moves for catching ghosts. The other knows nothing at all and has to jump into the action with a “ghost-hunting gun” given to him by his martial uncle, Shishu Qingmie. Together, they begin a shoestring journey across the country, exploring haunted places and catching ghosts… Until someone even hires them to hunt ghosts overseas? Then an unexpected incident in Shangri-La changes all their plans… (If you’d like to know more about protagonist Cheng Xuyuan’s detailed experiences at the hospital, visit my profile and read the short story “A Feast in the Morgue: The Exorcist.”)
