Five Years After Faking My Death, My Ex-Husband Seizes the Throne and Claims Me by Force

[Both leads are devoted only to each other + sweet romance + domineering pursuit + groveling to win her back + father-and-son healing]

Qin Wu is the tragic cannon-fodder crown princess in a novel, a sister-and-nephew-enabling fool. Her younger sister, the other woman, causes her to lose her child. Her birth mother is drugged and poisoned to death by her stepmother and scumbag father, who deceive her about what happened. In the end, she even lets the emperor, who dotes on her most, hand the throne to her nephew.

Luckily, she awakens on the night before her younger sister enters the palace and discovers that she was a modern person reborn in this world from birth.

She promptly cuts off all ties and, on the day her sister enters the palace, sets fire to the place and escapes.

Five years into his reign, Jun Xuanting has spent every day weeping over a portrait of his wife. He searches the entire realm for anyone who might help, hoping only that she will come back to life or appear in his dreams, but she never does.

Heartbroken beyond words, he never imagined it was all a ruse she had set up.

She set fire to the palace to escape him. When he learns the truth, he flies into a furious rage and leaves the capital that very night.

Qin Wu spends five years living freely, until one day she learns that the emperor is coming to Huaizhou. She disguises herself to avoid him, but runs into the leader of the Tianxia Gang.

He tells her that if she becomes his woman, he’ll make sure no one can bully her, not even the emperor.

She believes him! But one day she discovers that the Tianxia Gang leader is actually the emperor, and makes a break for it.

Thinking the most dangerous place is the safest, she hides in the capital and sneaks into the palace, never imagining the emperor is waiting for her inside.

With her bags packed and on the run, she is pinned to the bed, a long blade at her throat and Jun Xuanting’s eyes dark and terrifying. “Run, or sleep with me. Choose one.”

Of course she’ll sleep with him!

When she escapes again, she loses her memory. The mad emperor goes madder still, willingly turning himself into a dog as he chases after his wife.
