It only gets better as it goes
The ghostly festival brings a blood moon, and the old world meets its end. The day spiritual energy returns marks the beginning of evolution!
On the fifteenth day of the seventh lunar month, the Ghost Festival, a once-in-a-century “super blood moon” hangs in the sky. But instead of an astronomical spectacle, it brings a wave of spiritual energy that sweeps across the globe and the collapse of civilization!
Lin Fan, an ordinary office worker struggling through endless overtime, once thought the biggest crises in life were client demands and his boss's empty promises. Then that eerie red moon dyes the world in blood. Zombies roam, monstrous beasts roar, and all order vanishes. Humanity's survivors struggle in despair, while some awaken amid the spiritual energy and become “Awakened,” able to control the elements and wield immense strength!
But the dangers don't end there. Slow-moving walkers, swift sprinters, bloated creatures that explode and spread poison, shriekers that summon zombie hordes... Even overlords with intelligence, able to command the undead, emerge. The zombies are evolving too! Meanwhile, human factions splinter apart. Military strongholds, Awakened organizations, and extremist cults carve up the land, and the darkness of human nature is laid bare in the apocalypse.
Lin Fan can only grip the thunder in his hands and fight his way forward through the blood-red wasteland. He must face an endless succession of terrifying monsters, while also watching out for the schemes and betrayals of his fellow humans. His goal is clear: survive in this cruel new era and find Luo Xiaoxiao, the girl who brought light to him when he was at his lowest.
This is a path of evolution strewn with corpses and thorns. Beneath the red moon, will people become monsters who know only how to kill, or a new humanity that protects its convictions? And what is the ultimate secret of spiritual energy?
The old era has ended. He will write the new one!
