Ghost Stories from the Soul Inn

The protagonist, Lin Fu (Lin Maishan), runs a late-night diner called Lin Maishan in Lihun Street, in the suburbs of Minzhou, eastern Fujian Province. It opens from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., and he also works there as a cook. Though he seems quiet and reserved, he is a spirit medium with supernatural powers who helps vengeful ghosts and wandering souls fulfill their unfinished wishes. (The diner rarely gets any business. It mainly serves wontons, slow-cooked dishes in clay pots, and Hunan-style stir-fries. Since the place is a little eerie, the two employees who worked there before quit. With no other choice, Lin Maishan offered a salary of 20,000 a month to hire two new servers: a young couple fresh out of school. The carefree male lead, Lian Shiyi, and female lead, Shen Lü, have been scolded by their parents. Hoping to get married and prove themselves to their families, they apply for jobs as servers at the diner. There, they grow and discover the joys of life and friendship. (Behind every soul lies a heartbreaking story.))
