You Were Supposed to Save Me, So Why Did You Fall in Love First?

[Meng Yancheng + Lin Wanyu]

Meng Yancheng’s life was like a precisely calibrated refrigerator: cold and devoid of feeling. That is, until he reunited with his high school classmate, Lin Wanyu, who had a cure for every kind of unhappiness (and resentment).

He said, “Woman, you are my salvation.”

She said, “Stop right there! That line is so cliché.”

Meng Yancheng downloaded a dating guide in the middle of the night and awkwardly began trying to win her back

His mother gives her a hard time? He steps in! His little sister causes trouble? He puts her in her place! So why does his quest to win her back keep going so wildly off course?

Meng Yancheng: “Is there any hope for me?”

Lin Wanyu: “…Unbutton two buttons on your shirt first. You look way too much like an insurance salesman.”
