Lin Xi, formerly known as Hou Hong'e, is the winner of the first Lu Xun Literature Award. Born in Tianjin in the 1930s, his ancestors were engaged in foreign affairs and foreign trade in Tianjin. His father worked for a foreign company and his mother came from a scholarly family. Graduated from the Normal School in 1952, worked as a teacher, magazine editor, and later as a professional writer for the Tianjin Writers Association, and joined the Chinese Writers Association in 1982. He has released representative novels such as "The Fourth Master Cricket", "Chou Mo Yin Chu", "Gaomai" and "Xiang Shi Wu Feizi". Among them, "Little Son" won the first Lu Xun Literature Award, and "Tianjin Idle Man" was adapted into a movie and selected for the Beijing International Film Festival.
