Introduction to "The Legend of the Eight Precepts"
"The Eight Precepts" is based on the Eight Precepts of Buddhism and connects eight modern supernatural murder cases: a massacre of a butcher who died out of invisible resentment, a habitual grave robber who burned the word "rob" on his palm and died tragically, an alcoholic who died suddenly after drinking evil wine... The case has opened up a dark corner of modern society: some people use "precepts" to carry out lynchings, and use magic to distort beliefs as murder weapons.
The monk Luo Lin used spells to identify grievances and the nine-character mantra to ward off evil spirits. Detective Lin Fan and his team used spectrometers to analyze scum and drones to track them.
