Haunted House Case Files: I Unlock Forbidden Secrets Through Livestreaming

[Modern urban setting + hard-hitting supernatural horror + rules-based horror + suspense and mystery]

“Five thousand yuan for one night’s sleep in a haunted house. Cash payment.” Driven by financial hardship, Lin Feng, an engineering student, takes this seemingly absurd, high-paying side job. He assumes it’s just a dull scam or psychological game, something he can expose with a camera and logic.

But when the red light on the old camera comes on at midnight: shoeprints appear at the end of the hallway from nowhere; marbles roll across the ceiling at an impossible hour; a deathly pale face flickers behind him in the footage... The worldview built on science begins to crumble, piece by piece.

And that’s only the beginning. A cursed paranormal livestream signal, a strange ancestral register hidden by his family, an endless loop of a corridor from an urban legend, ancient lenses that reflect a terrifying image... One paranormal event after another drags him into the abyss.

Lin Feng has no choice but to join forces with a hacker friend and a tech-savvy roommate, using modern technology, nearly forgotten folk taboos, and meticulous reasoning to survive one spine-chilling rules-based horror after another. They gradually discover that these fears aren’t baseless. Behind every eerie rumor lies a forgotten tragedy and a “rule” that must be obeyed.

And when he tries to trace everything back to its source, an even more horrifying truth slowly emerges: his seemingly ordinary family has apparently been entangled with the malice permeating the world for a long time.
