A zombie horde tears civilization apart. Lone expert Ji Chen lives by three rules: trust no one, show no mercy, waste no time. Everyone his dagger points to ends up dead, until
A bloodstained baseball bat smashes an ambusher’s head. A blond man strides into view against the light and holds a rare treat in the apocalypse, strawberry yogurt, to Ji Chen’s lips.
“My name is Ling Yao. I’ve liked you for a long time.”
Ji Chen sneers and turns him down, but that very night the same man presses a knife to his throat and pins him in the shadows. Hot breath brushes his ear. “There are zombies everywhere outside… Will you take me in?”
This man with the dazzling smile is a cold-blooded demon who kills without hesitation to everyone else, but a devoted, attentive loyalist to him. Only the possessiveness churning in his eyes reveals his unhinged nature:
“If you get hurt, I’ll slaughter a city.” “If you frown, I’ll tear them to pieces.” “Ji Chen, you can’t escape. You were my prey even before the apocalypse.”
A hardcore fight to survive, with danger around every corner: zombie hordes surround the city! Humanity turns against itself! Resources are fought over! And more terrifying than the zombies is Ling Yao’s tender, obsessive whisper:
“It took seventeen supermarkets to find this yogurt…”
“Don’t be afraid of the abyss. I’ll fall with you.”

The story is okay and strong. In fact, the apocalypse is the background, but the content is not mainly about the apocalypse. It can be regarded as the adventures of a scientific experiment. The rhythm of the storyline is quite good. It's like a game. There isn't much romance, but the sexual tension in the first part is actually very good, and the pull between men is very exciting. However, it disappears in the middle and later parts, and the character seems to have changed a bit. However, overall it's not bad, and it's good to just watch it as a thrilling adventure.
