The Calamity of Heavenly Secrets: A Strange Otherworld

A note: No harem, no System, no brainless behavior, and a plot-focused story.

Guan Yun transmigrated to a terrifying, dark otherworld full of the “Uncanny,” known as the Xiyuan Realm.

Its physical constants are similar to Earth’s, but it is permeated by a fundamental energy called “spiritual qi.”

Spiritual qi is the source of life and the foundation of all supernatural powers.

What makes this realm so terrifying is that when living beings die, their consciousness vanishes completely, but the spiritual qi that forms the source of their souls does not immediately dissipate.

Most spiritual qi slowly and steadily disperses back into the world.

But when living beings die in extreme pain, fear, resentment, despair, or with powerful obsessions, the spiritual qi they release carries imprints of these intense negative emotions and fragments of their shattered consciousness.

This “tainted” spiritual qi cannot return to nature smoothly. Under certain conditions, it gathers, warps, and changes. Over countless years, tainted spiritual qi converges and devours itself, absorbing energy from its surroundings until it gradually forms a horrifying entity that is neither alive nor dead, has no complete consciousness, and is driven by instinct or obsession: the “Uncanny.”

As a scientist, Guan Yun adapts to this world in his own way, but he gradually discovers that the problems here go far beyond the Uncanny!
