The Villain's Guide to Self-Rescue: Urgent Advice Wanted!

Synopsis:

After waking up, overworked office worker Su Wan discovers she has become the vicious imperial consort in an old-school tragic romance, with a deadly script in hand: “Chapter Three: Slap the heroine, then be demoted and confined immediately.” Breaking into a cold sweat, she is about to lie flat and accept her fate when she makes a shocking discovery: the Empress, who has come to stir up trouble, is speaking in modern internet slang! Even more absurdly, the young eunuch who brings meals to the Cold Palace, the palace guards, and even the old man selling melons on the street all awaken to their own tragic endings, clutching their heads and sobbing! Just as despair sets in, a strange WeChat group called the “Supporting Character Self-Rescue Alliance” suddenly explodes in their minds. For the first time, cannon fodder scattered throughout the plot are connected across time and space. And so the whole story goes completely off the rails: on the surface, the consort storms into the Cold Palace to stage a grand palace-intrigue showdown; behind the scenes, the group is frantically tagging everyone: “Help! How do I slap someone convincingly without getting punished? Asking online, and it’s urgent!” Today’s goal: wreck the Chapter Three plot and make sure everyone survives! But can this bunch of goofballs really be trusted? And that hidden big shot of a prince who suggested “play your part well, then bring the plot crashing down”: does he really want to save everyone, or is he hatching some shocking conspiracy of his own?
