Deemed a useless body incapable of cultivation, Chen Zhu was exiled by his sect, betrayed by the woman he loved, and killed by his own daughter.
Carrying a century of hatred from his imprisonment, Chen Zhu was reborn and swore to turn everything around.
And the first thing he did after being reborn was sleep with the immortal maiden who would one day kill his entire family!
Then he ran for it!
But is there really nothing more to his second life than that?
Why did the Human Emperor's ruins open only for him?
Why did the qilin's true spirit fuse with him perfectly?
Why did that heartless Immortal Venerable look at him with such a complicated gaze?
When the shadow of world-ending destruction descended, Chen Zhu finally understood: his rebirth itself was the most shocking counterattack in this game of fate played by heaven and earth.
“I am no one’s pawn. I, too, am a player.”
The rebirth and revenge line of this book is quite interesting. The protagonist Chen Zhu comes back with hatred. The counterattack and layout at the beginning are very neat and not sloppy. The character creation is also okay. The setting of the counterattack of the waste body plus the foreshadowing of the ruins of the human emperor and the true spirit of Qilin makes me look very hopeful.
