The Record of Ashen Spirit Creations, also known as Crossing the Ashen Soul: The Pendant’s Haunted Secret
Yunmeng, the “God of Fear” from a “world that wastes resources,” travels through the myriad heavens with ten fear-powered creations, arriving as the “Guardian of Wen Qing’s Valley” in Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation. She once used Scorching Silk Worms to burn away extravagance, stole memories of fear with Shadow Thieves, and maintained order through the Lord of Ten Thousand Fears. Now, she turns her creations into cats: a red-striped cat to dry clothes, a silver-shaded cat to tell stories, and a black cat to protect the little ones. When an antisocial personality meets pure dependence, and the power of destruction becomes a gentle force of protection, she and her cat army travel through different worlds with the young Wei Wuxian, Xue Yang, and Meng Yao, whom she has adopted, writing new chapters together. It turns out true power is not about creating fear, but about using the “ashen spirits” of the past to protect every warmth worth cherishing.
A quick guide to the main creation forms
- Sequence 001, Scorching Silk Worm: Originally a translucent worm with dark-red, searing threads; in cat form, a short-haired red tabby with reddish claws, skilled at drying things
- Sequence 002, Shadow Thief: Originally a flowing black mist that can hide in shadows; in cat form, a hairless black cat with eyes bright as stars, skilled at patrolling at night
- Sequence 010, Lord of Ten Thousand Fears: Originally a winged beast of white bone covered in dark-purple mist; in cat form, a black cat with purple markings on its back, whose presence protects those around it
