Young Mao Zedong

From the age of 8 to 16, Mao Zedong studied in many private schools in the Shaoshan area such as Nan'an, Guangong Bridge, Qiaotou Bay, Zhongjiawan, Jingwanli, Wuguijing, and Dongmaotang. In the private school, Mao Zedong received an old-fashioned education. Here he laid his initial cultural foundation, developed a strong interest in Chinese culture, and was exposed to some new ideas. Many private school teachers had more or less influence on his subsequent growth and development, and left many thought-provoking stories.
