Seeing the Comments, I Cut Down the Male Lead from the Start

On my wedding night with the royal consort, I saw a barrage of comments:

“Our precious girl fakes her death by drinking poison, and the male lead is about to kill himself with a fake sword so he won’t have to lose his chastity to the Eldest Princess.”

“Legendary! The heroine fakes her death to get out of an arranged marriage, then the male lead dies for love so she can be sent off to marry someone else. They’re really treating the Eldest Princess like she’s just some little side project.”

The Eldest Princess... They mean me, don’t they? And the male lead is my royal consort?

Sure enough, beneath our mandarin-duck pillow, I found the retractable sword my royal consort planned to use to fake his death.

Just as I was about to confront him, the favored courtesan who served as my lover burst into our bridal chamber, consumed by jealousy.

The comments floated past:

“I’m crying. The second male lead wouldn’t have ruined his own reputation to save his love rival if he hadn’t known our precious girl liked the male lead.”

“I’m dying to know when our precious girl will realize that everyone in the Eldest Princess’s harem is in love with her!”

The next moment, a real sword skewered my royal consort and his lover into a pair of kebabs.

Expressionless, I announced, “The Seventh Princess has died after drinking poison. I am deeply grieved.”

“Send every handsome man in the Eldest Princess’s residence to the underworld to keep her company.”
