On the Nine Heavens Continent, spiritual meridians reign supreme.
Lin Chen, a collateral member of the Lin family with an ordinary spiritual meridian, is a good-for-nothing in the eyes of everyone across the Qingyun Domain. After three years of cultivation, he remains stuck at the early Spirit Disciple stage. The main branch bullies him, his father is bedridden with serious injuries from protecting him, and he has even been ruthlessly stripped of his chance to take the sect examination.
Cornered with no way out, he falls into a forbidden area in the back mountains and accidentally awakens a black scale that has lain dormant for ten thousand years. From then on, his Chaos Inverse Scale Meridian awakens. He can absorb spiritual qi of multiple attributes at will, and the divine abilities of the dragon race begin to manifest within him. Overnight, the youth who was once a good-for-nothing transforms into a genius who defies heaven.
