Your Gaze Falls Short of Hers

After her mother dies unexpectedly, Yu Sheng's gravely ill grandmother sends her to live with her unfaithful father. Yu Sheng thinks she will simply have to keep her head down in someone else's home. But for his own gain, her father cares nothing for whether she lives or dies. He pushes her into an abyss, leaving her not the slightest chance of survival. Just as her heart turns to ash and she falls in despair toward a pile of broken glass, her stepmother, whom she has always resented, overcomes her fear and catches her despite every obstacle. But Yu Sheng never expected that her stepmother had also helped bring about her tragedy... (This is a fictional story. Please don't read it as a reflection of real life.
