Tiancai Dibaolu

"Holding treasures" is a mysterious cultural phenomenon that is widely spread in Chinese folklore. It is mostly seen in market stories, local chronicles and folk anecdotes in the north (especially North China and Northeast China) and parts of the south of the Yangtze River. The core revolves around "searching for spirits, holding spirits, and collecting treasures." According to legend, the "Baobao Ke" (also known as the "Treasure Holder") possesses special skills and can identify "spiritual objects" in the world, and use secret methods to "hold" (i. E. Conquer and seize) them for his own use. This not only carries the legendary color of "treasure hunting", but also implies the awe and game of natural spirituality and local geomantic omen. It is the traditional folk's concrete imagination of "the relationship between man and nature" and "desires and checks and balances".
