Because I am an old Beijinger, I try to imitate Mr. Lao She's style of writing. As a senior reader, my endless reading over the past few decades has given me the confidence to write. I don't need this book to be as good as Lao She's works - it is no less than the popular old books such as "Railway Guerrillas", "Fire King", "Gunshots on the Plains" and other red classics with similar anti-Japanese themes.
