"Misplaced Brocade" tells the story of Lin Wei, a 21st century history graduate student, who was struck by lightning when she touched a Song Dynasty brocade handkerchief in a museum. She accidentally traveled to the Dasheng Dynasty and became Su Wei, the eldest daughter of Su Mingzhe, the Minister of Rites.
Living in an ancient society with strict hierarchies and surging undercurrents, Lin Wei relied on her solid historical skills and modern thinking to gain a foothold in an unfamiliar environment. Not only did she have to adapt to life in the Shangshu Mansion and deal with complex interpersonal relationships, but she was also accidentally bound to a mysterious system. The tasks issued by the system guided her to contact the world and get involved in government affairs. She gradually grew from a passive response at the beginning to someone who could take the initiative to control the situation.
In the process, she rescued the orphan girl Anian, discovered her herbal talent and carefully cultivated it; met the knight Huanyan, helped her get out of trouble, and accepted her as a reliable guard; and in major events such as her father's order to control the plague, she used modern knowledge and systems to assist in making plans, showing wisdom and courage beyond the times.
From the deep mansion to the marketplace, from the edge of the court to facing crises such as the plague, Su Wei (Lin Wei) brings the accumulation of two lives, in the misplaced time and space, amidst the prosperity and undercurrents, step by step weaving her own way of survival and life trajectory, interpreting an ancient survival legend that combines growth, strategy and warmth.
