Red Thread Detective: Chasing a Killer for a Life

A string of disappearances rocks Jiangcheng. People vanish without a trace, and a ghost market appears at midnight.

Detective Chen Jiuzhou investigates a homeless girl named A Qing, uncovering a curse from twenty years ago.

She walks barefoot across snow without feeling cold, can summon stray dogs into formation, and makes withered flowers bloom at a glance.

Half a red cord appears at every crime scene, and the victims die with eerie smiles, as if seeing a ghost.

By chance, Chen gains the power of the red cord, letting him glimpse the instant another person’s life ends.

The red cord binds souls and borrows lives to hunt down killers. It lets him enter a victim’s final consciousness.

Other detectives follow clues. He lives through the final half hour before death.

Ordinary detectives race from one crime scene to another. He solves cases inside the memories of the dead.

When the red cord connects ten murder cases, the truth points to his own missing younger brother.

In the end, he will sever the knot of fate, end the mountain spirit’s curse, and save the last ray of light in the human world.
